This year long programme is for young aspiring players who have engaged with Newcastle Elite Academy across our various training programmes demonstrating a high level of talent through excelling ability combined with a a high work ethic and willingness to learn and develop.
This unique programme provides the opportunity for young players to further refine their skills and continue their development in a positive learning environment at our top class facilities. They will be working within our unique structured and progressive training programme delivered by our UEFA qualified coaching team.
Looking ahead to next season (September 2018 till July 2019) we are looking to revamp and further grow our elite development centre programme and delighted to announce the launch of our community development centre membership scheme.
This scheme is a year long structured and progressive training programme is in addition to young players grassroots football, where the coaching team at NEA can utilise their experience of working in the professional game, expertise and understanding of long term player development alongside our NEA directors guidance to deliver a programme essential for any young player to further develop as a player on and off the pitch.
This programme will include short, medium and long term development goals across the year, working at Foundation phase (5-11’s) and youth development phase (12-16s) age groups. All players will work through individual and group aims/objectives linked to age specific fundamental coaching topics across the FA’s Four corner model of “Long Term Player Development’ – Technically (tactically), Physically, Socially, Psychologically. This training programme will provide challenge to striving players to further continue their football journey and will be fundamental in working towards reaching their full potential.
